Senior Vice President, Global Research
Richard Dean is Markinetics' Vice President of IT Services Research. Based in Boston, Massachusetts, Richard is responsible for leading Markinetics' market research and custom consulting initiatives related to information technology services, including hosted and managed services and delivery channels.
Richard’s research focuses on emerging global opportunities, regional growth strategies, and market intelligence for technology, consulting, and systems vendors as well as for network operators and managed services providers. His quantitative forecasts and qualitative research includes both service provider (i.e., operator) and converged enterprise technology environments.
Prior to joining Markinetics, Richard created and led IDC’s Infrastructure Integration and Support Services research team, a family of programs that included Network Consulting and Integration Services, Information Security Services, and Wireless and Mobile Infrastructure Services. Richard also served in leadership capacities at Avaya and Hewlett-Packard.
Richard earned an MBA from Framingham State College and an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Worcester State College. In his spare time, Richard is a youth baseball and basketball coach, and he enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
